Job Overview

The MLE x Chambers Vintage store is seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail sales, a knack for engaging with customers, and conveying a brand experience rooted in excellence. We are deeply invested in educating our customers on sustainability by creating unique interactions between our customers, products and brands.

What You’ll Do:

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
• Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and resolve any issues.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.
• Consistently meet and exceed sales goals.
• Assist in clientele generation through customer engagement and in-store events.
• Contribute to an in-store experience for customers that both surprises and delights them
• Deliver and foster a culture of excellence in client experience through a customer first mindset to build long term loyal client relationships
• Deliver an elevated client experience acting as a brand ambassador – embody each brands values, engage customers on the brands, sharing the stories of Chambers Vintage and MLE with a focus on educating on sustainability
• Understand the core values and culture of MLE and Chambers Vintage, reflecting these in all efforts
• Embody both the MLE and Chambers Vintage brand and aesthetics while maintaining a polished an inspiring appearance.
• Maintain extraordinary customer experience
• Understand the need for consistent inventory accuracy and controls in store
• Contribute to Loss Prevention in all areas of the business
• Uphold time and attendance policy
• Ensure the selling floor reflects our brands & concept standards at all times
• Share your deep knowledge about our product with genuine enthusiasm
• Communicate customer feedback so we can continuously improve our products and merchandising
• Help ensure that the store environment is inspiring and products are easily accessible
• Maintain and uphold a professional, healthy, and productive work environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, evenings & weekends included
• Able to work a flexible schedule (weekends & holidays if required to meet the needs of the business)

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales is required.
• Preferred previous experience in luxury fashion or designer retail.
• Preferred previous experience with Shopify POS.
• Existing network of clientele in upstate New York seeking designer & sustainable fashion.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
