Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in New York City, NY. This opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:
Patient Care Assistance: Perform venipuncture, EKGs, assist with patient flow, accompany patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, collect specimens, and assist physicians with procedures.
Clerical and Record Management: Manage patient records, including sending/receiving medical records, obtaining reports, completing forms, and entering data into the EMR system.
Inventory and Supply Management: Order and restock medical supplies, maintain sterilization protocols, log refrigeration and sterilization processes, and dispose of expired supplies.
Safety and Compliance: Follow infection control policies, ensure a safe work environment, and comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for patient and staff safety.
Administrative and Scheduling Support: Schedule surgeries, assist with appointment scheduling, verify insurance information, perform pre-certifications, and maintain medical charts.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 3 years of experience working as a medical assistant.
- Relevant medical office or phlebotomy experience is desirable.
Certification:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an approved school.
Skills:
- Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse, multicultural population.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.

Location: New York, NY
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: 5×8– Days – 9:00AM -5:00 PM – weekends rotation
Pay Range: $20/ hour-$21,40/ hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
