About the job
As an AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will manage and maintain On-Premise/AWS environments, focusing on designing, deploying, documenting, and supporting infrastructure. You will also develop, build and deploy automation tools in an Agile environment. This role will be a 50/50 mix of AWS and Core DevOps.
In this job you will:
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
- Deploy and configure AWS Control Tower, Windows/Linux OS, AWS RDS, and custom alerts.
- Implement cloud security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Optimize cloud performance, manage costs, and ensure resource provisioning.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and operations teams.
- Implement AWS cost optimization strategies.
- Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies and backup processes.
- Establish monitoring solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other tools.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Improve IaC development and test automation processes through CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage and maintain multiple environments, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Develop strategies to migrate legacy on-prem workloads to AWS.
- Solve performance and stability issues.
This is the job for you if:
- You have at least one of the following: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
- You have Healthcare IT experience.
- You can design solutions based on minimal requirements.
- You have extensive experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS (REQUIRED).
You should get in touch if you have:
- 7+ years of software engineering/DevOps experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
- Experience with programming languages: Python, Groovy, Java, JavaScript.
- Proficiency in cloud and virtualization technologies: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare.
- Experience with source code management: Git, Nexus, Artifactory.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server maintenance.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Packer, etc.
- Experience with configuration and orchestration technologies: Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform (REQUIRED).
