Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will have 3-5+ years’ progressive experience in a 200+ employee company using ADP WorkForce Now.

Job Duties:

The person in this position will:

  • Process payroll and related support in ADP, i.e., time off tracking, timesheet review, benefits deductions, retirement plan deductions) etc.
  • Review and verify timecards, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked in ADP.
  • Review and ensure benefit enrollments are processed correctly.
  • Coordinate with HR team on all leave statuses and related payroll or benefit needs.
  • Initiate COBRA notifications and processes ensuring timely payments from employees.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all dealings with employees and staff.
  • Compute wages, commissions, and deductions, as applicable.
  • Compute and process final pay in accordance with state and federal law
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including remittance of payroll taxes and required withholdings.
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders, wage orders or levies.
  • Respond to inquiries related to payroll, including employee questions about wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end payroll reporting.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Flexible problem solving and willingness to take on assigned tasks.
  • Have a positive attitude and teamwork mindset.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Needed:This position requires the ability to read, write, speak and communicate well in English. The ability to calculate basic math functions. Requires the person to have a team player personality and good people skills. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms; occasionally required to walk; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs; specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to focus.
