Job Description:
This role involves managing and growing an assigned sales region, building relationships with clients, and driving business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment, using their expertise to provide exceptional service and solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with grocery stores, processors, and restaurant groups.
- Drive sales by educating clients on the company’s products, emphasizing their benefits and capabilities.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to exceed sales goals.
- Pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and onsite client visits.
- Conduct tailored presentations for potential and existing clients.
- Manage sales pipelines effectively with consistent follow-up.
- Travel extensively within the East Coast region to meet with clients and attend trade shows.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in sales management or as a sales representative, preferably in industrial food sales.
- Strong background in outside sales, including lead generation and cold calling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required for highly experienced candidates.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively (must live near an airport).
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
Additional Details:
- Reports to the VP of Culinary and Sales, known for their strong leadership and focus on employee development.
- Training includes 2-4 weeks of onboarding with hands-on support from a team associate.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include cold calling, in-person and video meetings, and client relationship building.
