Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Peterborough, NH. This is a Full-time opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
Essential Duties:
- Perform blood drawings, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and any other procedures that are pertinent to the practice and within the scope of MA certification.
- Assists physician in examinations, which may include taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Keeps rooms cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Takes and returns patient phone calls as directed by the Physician.
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by a physician.
- Requisition supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.
- Assists with the maintenance of the medical record including completion of referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation as requested by the Physician.
- Assist patients in getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exams, as requested, and during procedures.
- Assists with any nursing procedure as directed by the Physician.
- Assists the patients as needed, getting to and from the exam rooms, prep patients for exams and treatments
- Assists in other areas as requested by the Manager and/or Clinical Coordinator, operating within the guidelines of MA certification.
- Must work as a member of a team and be flexible.
Required:
- At least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum, special training for Medical Assistants.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting. – Required
- Must maintain certification as a Medical Assistant.
- BLS Certification
