Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Psychologist to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York.

Requirements of the Psychologist:

  • Must be a Graduate of an accredited Doctoral Degree in Psychology program (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
  • Must be Board Certified
  • Must have active NY license
  • Preferably has at least 1 year of experience working in a previous mental health setting, outpatient clinic, or hospital.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Responsibilities of the Psychologist:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of criteria to identify victims of abuse and neglect.
  • Performs age-specific health assessment
  • Demonstrates communication skills appropriate to the population served
  • Performs psychodiagnostics assessment according to the DSM IV-TR
  • Provides culturally competent clinical psychosocial interventions, including crisis management.
  • Interprets the nature of illness and prescribes the course of treatment to patients/families and communicates family issues to other providers involved in the case.
  • Conducts individual treatment according to established standards/practice guidelines
  • Collaborates with other Urban Health programs and community agencies to promote coordination and continuity of patient and family care
  • Maintains up-to-date and complete records of patient information according to established standards.
  • Develop specialized programs that are clinically relevant to the age population served.
  • Adheres to the department’s practice guidelines and maintains current knowledge of professional practice standards.
  • Abides by all New York state regulations and professional (APA) ethical and code of conduct standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required
