About the job
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join a long-term care pharmacy located in Eau Claire, WI. This position offers a consistent schedule with shifts planned three weeks in advance, providing excellent work-life balance and a collaborative environment.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $137,280 annually
Shift Options:
- Opening Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Mid Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Closing Shift: 9:30 AM – Close (typically 6:00 PM, but may extend to 7:00 PM or later to ensure all medications are processed).
The pharmacy operates on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to approximately 3:00 PM. Pharmacists work Saturdays once every four weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operations, including medication preparation, verification, and dispensing.
- Oversee and execute first and second prescription verification (PV1 & PV2), aiming for:
- 150–200 PV1s per shift.
- 750–1,000 PV2s per 8-hour shift.
- Manage the scanning cycle of medication orders and related documentation to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee third-party claims, including initial submission, re-submission, and collection.
- Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory to optimize stock levels while meeting customer needs.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, professional, and in compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Foster positive professional relationships with healthcare providers and customers.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure all team members uphold this standard.
- Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Intermediate Medication Management Reviews (IMMR), short-stay reviews, and other clinical services as needed.
Requirements:
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of Wisconsin.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in long-term care or a similar pharmacy setting is a plus.
