About the job
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
· Provide expertise in performing journeyman-level rough and finish carpentry duties
· Review project plan and blueprints
· Estimate time, material, equipment and supplies needed
· Track production rates of self-perform
· Develops work schedules and crew assignments
· Develop and manage job hazard analysis, ensure crews are working safely and properly trained
· Maintains records of operations
· Monitor inventories and request supplies and equipment
· Ensure work areas are properly maintained
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues
· Consult with clients and contractors in a professional manner
· Ensure carpentry jobs are completed in due time and ensure quality of work
· Discipline, mentor and monitoring performance of employees
· Coordinate and maintain crew safety, equipment and tool training
· Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Skills Or Experience Requirements:
· Must hold a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if required by the applicable state, city or county)
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Foreman carpenter or similar role
· Considerable knowledge of: rough and finish carpentry; tools, equipment materials and safety practices of carpentry work; building techniques of new and remodel construction; masonry, concrete, steel, pre-cast and wood construction
· Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength, stamina, and be detailed orientated
· Display basic computer skills
· Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment,
· Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
· Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions
· Adhere to all OSHA and Schuchart safety practices and procedures
· Support activities at all Schuchart job-sites as directed
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Repetitive climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending and reaching overhead.
· Use of hands and wrists with various tools.
· Prolonged use of jackhammer and pavement breaker.
· Climb ladders multiple times a day.
· Use of wheelbarrows and brooms.
· Repetitive use of hands and wrists using power, rotational, and vibration tools.
· Tolerate legally permissible exposure to dusts and chemicals, such as cement dust, solvents,
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outdoor weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The hourly rate for this position is between $40 to $55 with a starting rate of $40 for candidates with limited experience as Carpenter Foreman. As you gain experience and contribute to the role, there will be opportunities for salary growth based on performance and career progression.
