Phaxis is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time opportunity in Darlington, SC. This is a great chance for an experienced educator to make a real impact in the lives of students while enjoying competitive pay and excellent benefits from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide direct instruction and support in both small group and one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress and success.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning styles of students.
