We are looking a highly skilled and experienced PowerMax Engineer with extensive knowledge in mainframe integration ,particularly with expertise in DELL GDDR for PowerMax.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement PowerMax storage solutions for mainframe environments, considering geographically dispersed disaster recovery requirements and Dell GDDR capabilities.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical expertise on mainframe integration and Dell GDDR configuration for geographically dispersed environments.
3. Configure, deploy, and manage PowerMax storage arrays, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards for geographically dispersed disaster recovery.
4. Collaborate with mainframe system administrators and architects to integrate PowerMax storage systems into mainframe environments across multiple locations.
5. Configure and monitor Dell GDDR solutions to ensure seamless data replication, high availability, and disaster recovery across geographically dispersed sites.
6. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including firmware upgrades, patch installations, and system health checks for geographically dispersed PowerMax systems.
7. Monitor storage system performance across multiple locations, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and throughput.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues in geographically dispersed environments, working closely with vendors, support teams, and internal stakeholders.
9. Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps specific to geographically dispersed disaster recovery and Dell GDDR for reference and knowledge sharing.
10. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to PowerMax storage systems, mainframe integration, and geographically dispersed disaster recovery.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Strong experience as a storage engineer or administrator, with a focus on PowerMax storage systems.
3. Deep understanding of mainframe architecture, including z/OS, z/VM, and z/TPF.
4. Proficiency in configuring and managing PowerMax storage arrays, including RAID configurations, storage pools, and virtual provisioning.
