Job Description
A provider in Flagstaff, AZ is looking to hire a Medical Assistant for their clinic. You will be responsible for performing patient care activities such as back office check-in, check-out, prescription refills, administering injections, scheduling procedures, and providing patient education. You will support one provider who sees around 20-28 patients daily. With that being said, you will need to be comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment. You will schedule and process 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. You will interview patients; measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height; and record information on patients’ charts. You will notify the physician of changes in the patient’s clinical status and/or abnormal test results. You will give injections or treatments and perform routine laboratory tests. You will monitor and optimize allotted time slots in all schedules, utilizing the available programs/reports. You will complete clerical tasks including, but not limited to, distributing mail and reports, filing, scanning, scheduling, data input, answering phones, and general support to all office personnel. You will process medical record requests for patients, adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure HPI or forwards to the appropriate department or personnel for completion.
