About the job
Specific Duties:
- Assist the physician with injections and EKGs.
- Prepare charts, room patients, scan/fax records, handle phone intake calls, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Organize, stock, and clean exam rooms.
- Perform PT/INR tests.
- Maintain quality control standards.
Must-Have Qualifications/Experience:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- 2+ years of experience as a medical assistant or related experience in a medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Experience with ICD-9/10 and CPT coding.
- Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic health records system.
Certification Required:
- National or Registered Medical Assistant certification from the American Medical Association.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
