About the job

The RN Unit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality resident care, managing staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the long-term care facility.

Typical Schedule – 8:00am- 4:30pm

Nursing Staff Management:

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Maintain appropriate staffing levels and schedule coverage.

Clinical Oversight:

Oversee resident care and ensure quality standards are met.

Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings.

Conduct resident assessments and develop care plans.

Monitor and ensure proper documentation of resident care.

Administrative Duties:

Manage unit operations and coordinate daily activities.

Maintain accurate resident records and reports.

Ensure proper inventory and supply levels.

Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Current RN license in the state of practice.

3-5 years of long-term care nursing experience.

Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
