For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- Current certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred or in progress
- Current certification as a New York State Infection Control Training Practitioner preferred or in progress
Education:
- Bachelor of Nursing
Responsibilities:
The Infection Control Practitioner is responsible in utilizing Calvary’s patient care standards, geriatric standards of care, and within the New York State Nurse Practice Act plans, coordinates and is responsible for the daily operation and delivery of for the prevention and control of infections Clinical performance of the NP is monitored and reviewed by the Director of Infection Control and the Chief Medical Officer.
