Data Engineer (Contract)
Remote – Canada
Up to $85/hr CAD C2C
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data solutions leveraging Microsoft technologies. Candidates with a background in Canadian Financial Institution environments will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory.
- Implement data integration, transformation, and orchestration solutions with Microsoft Fabric.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the organization.
- Optimize data models and systems for performance and reliability.
- Provide expertise on cloud-based data engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, ETL processes, and data modelling.
- Previous experience working within a Canadian Credit Union is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data engineering languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
